Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
MatchWiser is operated by Cas UX Design LTDA, a company incorporated in Brazil. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect personal data when you use our website and services. We are committed to compliance with the Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados Pessoais (LGPD — Lei 13.709/2018).

2. What data we collect and why

We do not collect payment card data. We do not use cookies for tracking or advertising purposes. Your onboarding configuration and chat history are saved in your browser's localStorage so you can return to an in-progress setup — this data stays on your device and is cleared when you clear your browser data.
3. Customer-deployed widgets vs. our marketing widget
MatchWiser is a self-hosted widget platform. When you purchase a license and deploy the widget on your own website using your own proxy server, all visitor conversations are processed exclusively by your infrastructure. Visitor conversation data, lead information, and any data your visitors share in the chat never passes through MatchWiser's servers. You are the sole data controller for that data and responsible for your own privacy disclosures.
However, MatchWiser operates its own AI chat widget on matchwiser.com to demonstrate the product. Conversations with that widget are processed and stored on MatchWiser's servers (see Section 2 — marketing widget visitor data). This data is retained for up to 90 days and then automatically deleted.
4. Subprocessors
We use the following third-party service providers to operate MatchWiser:

International data transfers are carried out under appropriate safeguards in accordance with LGPD Art. 33.
5. Data retention
We retain different categories of data for different periods:
- —Lead and conversation data from the MatchWiser marketing widget: automatically deleted after 90 days.
- —Email address and widget configuration from the onboarding flow: retained for as long as needed to deliver the service, and deleted upon request.
- —Contact form messages: forwarded to our team via email and not stored in any database.
- —Browser localStorage (onboarding config and chat): stored on your device only — cleared when you clear your browser data or manually reset the flow.
You may request deletion of your personal data at any time (see section 6).
6. Your rights under LGPD
Under the LGPD you have the right to:

7. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure. API keys and authentication secrets are stored as environment variables and never transmitted to the client.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of MatchWiser after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
